Lyme Regis Brewery was founded in 2010 as The Town Mill Brewery. The group of gents who established the brewery here at The Town Mill wanted to create award-winning cask ales right here in Lyme Regis, and to demonstrate the craft of brewing to visitors of the Town Mill.
Over the past decade, the brewery crafted a selection of fine ales which were available in cask and bottle throughout the region. The small brewery in the Malthouse at the Town Mill was moved to a larger production facility just outside of Lyme Regis to enable greater production.
In late 2014 the brewery was rebranded as Lyme Regis Brewery in an effort to grow the business and make the brand more synonymous with the Jurassic Coast.
Despite the hard work of the team who established the brewery, a decision was taken to pass on the ownership in the Autumn of 2018 due to poor sales.
When four local mates heard of the opportunity, they decided to step in and take the helm.
Wes, Adam, Elliott and Dan took over running of the brewery on 1st December 2018, saving it from closure with a new vision and direction for what the brewery could be.
We’re passionate about bringing unique, creative, and quaffable craft beers to The Jurassic Coast. We have an overwhelming desire to brew and enjoy craft beer, and to create a range of new-age beers that puts Lyme Regis on the map.
Our aim is to create exciting beers made from locally sourced ingredients, but to also ensure the hard work and efforts of the brewery founders are never forgotten by continuing to brew their recipes.
We want to give people the opportunity to join in our voyage of discovery in brewing, be it by trying our beers in the Tap Room, taking a Brewery Tour or even helping to brew for the day. Beer brings people together and we hope our beer gives you a reason to keep coming back to Lyme Regis.
